Tel Aviv Blues Fesitval. December 2-5, 2015
The winter edition of the Tel Aviv Blues Festival that will take place in December boasts a huge range of concerts, many of which are free, taking place across the city. Among the line-up are local artists as well as big names from the global Blues scene. Together they will perform in over 40 events over a four day festival. Among the highlight are:
Jerron “Blind Boy” Paxton will open the festival on December 2nd at “The Zone”. An additional show will take place at 12pm, at “Merkaz Enav” on December 4th.
Piedmont Bluz, the acoustic duo of Valerie & Ben Turner, will play on December 5th, at 9:30pm at “The Zone”.
Lil’ Jimmy Reed, raw blues performer from Louisiana along with the Sobo band, will be at “Mike’s Place Tayelet” on December 4th and 5th at 10pm.
Acoustic shows include: Dani Litani with blues & soul, Yehuda Eder and his son Alon Eder with a piano blues show, David Perez with an electro-acoustic show, Miki Shaviv, Itay Pearl and others.
Three tribute shows: A tribute to Robert Johnson by Noam Dayan on December 3rd at 8pm, a show by the Eric Clapton Tribute Band on December 4th at 3pm, and a tribute to the father of the blues, WC Handy, by Eli & the Chocolate Factory on December 5th at 4pm.
Rona Kenan. December 7th, 2015
The popular Israeli singer and songwriter Rona Kenan will be playing in the cozy Ozen Bar.
Enrique Iglesias. December 16th & 22nd , 2015
The Latin singing sensation last performed in Israel on June 2011. Enrique, is the 40-year-old son of Julio Iglesias. He is scheduled to perform at the Yad Eliyahu Arena in Tel Aviv.
Shlomi Shabat, December 17th, 2015
Shlomi Shabat holds a recipe for success with his Mizrahi musical style. He will be performing at hangar 3 Reading.
