The 5 hippest places in Tel Aviv, including Mendeli Street Hotel
There is something very special in a city bathed by the sea, nicknamed White City and whose restaurants are open until 4 am … Tel Aviv accumulates hip spots, here are some of them:
1.The sandy beaches
Tel Aviv’s west side is a 13-kilometer (eight-mile) stretch of sandy beaches, and National Geographic magazine called Tel Aviv the “Miami Beach on the Med” Maybe… One of the 16 Tel Aviv beaches, the Banana Beach, is particularly hip, located on the southernmost edge near Jaffa, it draws a crowd on Friday evenings for drum circles, singing and dancing.
2. At night… Lima, Lima
Lima Lima is a cool club, usually electro DJs. It has a back courtyard with a waterfall, a great place to chill-out after dancing for hours.
3. Culture Square
To get a taste of the city’s arts scene, you can head over to Culture Square at the end of Rothschild Boulevard. There you’ll find the historic Mann Auditorium, home to the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the gorgeously renovated Habima National Theater and the Helena Rubinstein Pavilion for Contemporary Art, all facing a beautiful public courtyard with a colorful flower garden, water fountain and lots of families frolicking among them.
The pavilion showcases changing exhibitions, and is free to the public.
4. Anna Loulou
A hyper local, dance bar co-owned by Arab and Israeli hipsters on a side street in Jaffa. On Wednesday night the crowd dances to vintage Arabic music. They also serve Club Mate here.
2, HaPinim St
5. Mendeli Street Hotel
Hip style, hip people, hip rooms, hip boutique hotel for the hippest guests. Well, also for the non-hip. Welcome to Mendeli!
