Mendeli’s suggestion for Open House Tel Aviv event
Believe it or not our beautiful Mendeli started out as a horse stable at the beginning of the building’s existence, then, in 1960 it was renovated and became Adiv Hotel. Only in the twenty first century, after two intensive refurbishing years, Mendeli Street Hotel was born.
The owners, Irit and Eran Steinbach, declaration of intentions when planning Mendeli: “Tel Aviv is irreverently individual and our aim was that the hotel should be too”.
And according to critics, this is one accomplished goal. At Mendeli we most welcome our guests to take their time and enjoy all of our so special spaces: our sleek bar, homey wooden corners, state of the art gym, cozy rooms… and then venture to a fantastic annual event: Open House Tel Aviv.
The White City, along with 50 other cities around the world, opens some of its most notable private buildings, because of their architectural or historical interest, to the public for one weekend full of curiosity. This year is on May 26-28.
The event will include 140 usually private spaces, including some of the city’s most famous and iconic, to private homes and studios.
Some require reservation and some don’t. A glimpse of what can be seen:
You can tour the glorious French Ambassador’s residence in Jaffa, or take a peek at a gorgeous beach penthouse, or enjoy the insight to The Peres Center for Peace… and then return to Mendeli Street Hotel, where our doors are always open.
