Summer brings new flavors and colors to our beautiful Tel Aviv and, of course, also to our plates at Mashya restaurant. Flavors, textures and colors just awaiting to surprise your senses.

 

Mendeli collaborated with celebrated Chef Yosi Shitrit in creating Mashya, one of Israel’s best restaurants. And, most conveniently, Mashya is located right in Mendeli Street Hotel!

 

Our inspiration was mace (“mashya” in Hebrew), the winding peel of the nutmeg plant that curls around the nut and provides an almost-divinely aromatic spark in Moroccan cuisine. And why Moroccan cuisine? Because we brought in Mashya the flavors of our childhoods, Mediterranean food from East to West.

 

So if you sit in our intimate, modern and hip restaurant, which is also a homage to Tel Aviv, these days you can taste delicacies such as:  Raw Spanish mackerel, burnt watermelon, buttermilk & black quinoa, or Crispy shrimp, roasted beets, "Maya" mango & sour cream, or even Mediterranean crabs & shrimps, kale, Jerusalem artichoke & cumin.

 

There are more surprises that include wild fish, artichoke tapenade, five-spice chicken and the best wines and cava to accompany your choices.

 

Bottom line: local spices and ingredients through Yosi Shitrit’s creative lens and the most advanced cooking techniques create results you shouldn’t miss.
